Another Nightmare

My name, you wanna know my name? You'd be the first who didn't know. I'm Jackal, daughter of Jack and Sally Skellington. The princess of Halloween town, yeah I'm a princess. I don't look like it do I? With the skeletal ears and tail, my ribs visible, hard to belive huh? I'm adopted for one, not that it would make a difference here. My father is a skeleton, my mother a rag doll, They where supposed to live forever, we all where. Until the worlds clashed.

100 years ago my father found Christmas town, it was a big deal, he tried to take over the holiday, yada, yada, yada. Anyway, he managed to combine the worlds. Every holiday was not distinct any more, any one could be a part of any holiday. That was the end of immortality here, it all started with the first christmas. With every day of the year now important, our lives where shortened. I'm not sure how long every one has.

My father lived 427 years before his bones started to rott, my mother 215 before she gave up on constantly sewing herself up. I'm 50 years old, and still have the body I arrived with, a Jackal. Eyes, ears, tail and claws of a wolf, body of a human. Over all my skin is mostly in tact, with the exception of a few places it's worn off.

Now my father is dieing, my mother's been gone for a decade. I'm about to be queen, with Halloween town dwindling away as we speak. The only thing that could make this worse, was if the human world combined too. Thankfully it hasn't happened yet, but our worlds as they are are still merging. I pray we'll never have to see that day, but the odds are, it's coming.
