Chris Winters is a strong-willed person. He was seen as a leader, an innovator. But now he's a broken boy striving hard to survive. His two sisters struggle to keep up with what's thrown their way and they almost give up hope.
Until a black cat approaches Chris, of all the things, a cute, fuzzy, fluff ball rubs up against Chris. He's taken back in time and memories flood his poisoned mind.
