What's It Like Outside? [An II Fanfiction]
Baseball, Lightbulb, and eventually Balloon are captured by Test Tube and forced to partake in experiments that slowly get more and more dangerous. Meanwhile, their friends back at Hotel OJ are desperately trying to find them. (Yes, this is another one of those evil Test Tube experiment fics lol) Trigger warnings: kidnapping , torture , psychological distress , unethical experiments , blood descriptions , electrocution , serious injuries (each chapter will have its own tws these are just the commonly reoccurring ones) Inspired by Inanimate Experiments, Experiment 21 & the song Telescope by Cavetown There will be polybrights mentions during the sections at Hotel OJ (or just outside of the lab in general) jic that bothers anyone. (That's Paintbrush x Lightbulb x Test Tube x Fan btw) (Test Tube and Lightbulb's relationship isn't romantic at all after the prologue though dw) Note: This is the first fanfiction I've ever wrote, so it might be a little rough around the edges. The upload schedule also won't be very consistent since I'm just working on this whenever I feel motivated to. Hope you enjoy!

Test Tube was bored. So incredibly bored. She had done every experiment in the book. At least, every humane experiment. She looked down at the open book. An idea that couldn't be tested as there was no way to test it without potentially facing jail time for torture. But so many other famous scientists who made huge discoveries also did inhumane things for the sake of science. If it meant recognition for your brilliance and neediness outside of the show, Test Tube wouldn't mind stepping over a couple boundaries. But which lines would she be willing to cross? Or, a better question in hindsight, how much would change? WARNING! In this fic, there are mentions of : -Blood -Body horror -Kidnapping -Suicide/suicidal thoughts -Medical trauma in general If any of these topics trigger you, I don't recommend reading! However, as she starts working for the esteemed genetics laboratory hidden along the chilly California coast, she realizes that her attempt at escaping her past has actually thrown her deep into a web of convoluted lies, mad scientists, and the horrors of human experimentation. ~*~ Gripped with panic, I turned away only to come face to face with the very thing I tried to run from. I gasped, stumbling back. Its face was shadowed, but I could still see the outline of its features. Illuminated by the reflection of the stars, I could see the sharp jawline and steely eyes that regarded me. A face that, even in the dark of night, was distinctly masculine. "Why are you here." A chilling voice seethed from the shadows. It was as cold as the night around us, with a slight hiss that was threatening enough to send my heart racing even faster. ~*~ #1 in EXPERIMENT #1 in MERPEOPLE #1 in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST #1 in OCEAN The second book in the Species Unknown series.
