We had snuck onto the top of the skyscraper. We watched the sun set over the city skyline. The last summer night. The last night. "I'll remember you forever",he says. I smile at the city shimmering below us. I can still remember his gentle lips. The best night of my life. Now I was walking through our memories, in the ash and dust. I looked at the ruins. I stare at him, an image of him, with another girl. She was so beautiful, someone I could never be. My friends with their boyfriends, so happy. They moved on. I'm stuck in the pain of my past. Perhaps if it wasn't as good the fall would've been easier to handle. I used to wish I was dead, but now that I am, I want a second chance. Because the pain now, it can't compare. I can't start over anymore, I'm dead.
