Dakota, the new girl, is tired of being a new girl. Then her mom makes her catch a ride with Tyler, the most popular guy in school. Since the moment she sees him, he has been on her back. She refuses to let him help her. Her whole life gets turned upside down when she meets him. Why? He may be hiding a secret about her Grandfather and their past. Turns out her Grandfather was an experiment and they tried to turn him (scientifically) into a monster. It didn't work but they got super-human abilities, including immortality.
But later, she falls for Tyler, who's her guardian. Their love is forbidden and her Grandpa is very upset. He tries everything in his power to separate them but Dakota refuses to let him go.
