Theodosia had never understood why things happened the way they did. 

She'd never understood why her brother left and moved to New York, or why she had been put up on a pedestal to be a child, physically, without an older sibling's guidance. Her parents cared about her, sure, but they were always out for business trips. They were barely home. So Theodosia was alone for most of the time. 

Durante had always understood the way that things worked. 

He wasn't like other teenagers who kept asking "Why?" He had a different mindset from everyone else. And he wanted to be successful. His dad earned many degrees in Sociology, but Durante didn't want to take his path. He was set to pave his own road to success in what he wanted to do. 

When the two meet at a festival, they seem to have nothing in common. But as they start spending more time together, they discover that their friendship is something special--something that could last forever.
