"It is both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so very deeply" For Karina Malden, it's only a curse...

There's not many words to describe Karina Malden, so everyone thought. She was one of those girls that wasn't popular at school, had her two best friends, and always seemed to smile when you shot her a lame joke. People could only describe her as normal. Karina Malden was anything but normal. No one knew she was rich, no one knew she had a little sister braver than her, no one knew her dad left, and no one knew she was living in hell. There's always that little glimpse of heaven though, and Karina got a box of it.

I looked at myself in the mirror. My scars were covered with foundation, my gray eyes wore blue contacts, and my hair was dyed a preppy strawberry blonde. I wasn't used to the outfit I was wearing either. A short black dress, dotted with with polka dots and tied with a good ribbon at the waist. I couldn't help but pull down the hem of the of the dress. Nonetheless, I looked nothing like me and that was perfect.

TW: this book may contain mentions of violence and of suicide. DISCLAIMER #1: I wrote this story when I was a teen and while some mental disorders are the focal point, they may not be accurate representations as I was far from being a psychologist. There are several things Lynn doesn't quite get about the world she lives in, which makes it harder for her to figure herself out. She is not your average teenager. She's young, intelligent, though something about her is off by now. Everyone is quick to misjudge and point fingers, everything and everyone is so corrupted that she's afraid she'll lose herself among a bunch of wandering, empty souls. Therapy can only help so much, depression is hard to die, and in Lynn's case it's caused solely by the fact she doesn't 'fit in'. She can't really find her place in the world. But there's something really special about her; Her dreams are haunted by a wonderful, mystical place. No one understands her, they think she's off her rocker, that she needs to cut her childish daydreams. But Lynn knows deep in her heart that place really exists, and she'll do anything to find it, with the help of some new found friends. There's only one thing she must do: Keep an open mind, it brings open hearts and open eyes. -- DISCLAIMER #2 This fanfiction is inspired to Mind Over Matter by Pvris and their lyrics in general. All you read here is fiction. every reference to real events or people is purely coincidental. I do not own the songs featured in the book. Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.

THIS BOOK IS 18+ "Alright, I'll tell you the rules twice, and I'll need you to memorize them, write them down and give them to me tomorrow morning." Wait, I'm not good at memorizing things! I nod waiting for him to continue, but I get a soft slap on my face instead, which takes me by surprise. "Words Amelia, you need to respond in words. Speaking of which, that's the first rule. No nodding, no shaking heads no sign language because we both are very capable of hearing and speaking, okay?" I was about to nod when I realized in time. "Yes...?" "Master, you are to address me as your Master when we are alone, but when in public I still wait for some kind of respect you understand?" "Yes Master" --------------------------------------------------- Amelia is the average rich girl, (with a touch of anger issues) she thought she didn't cared about anything or anyone because her life was already planned ahead and there was nothing she could do about it. Although she was envied by most, her life was controlled by her father, and she followed his every rule no matter how hurtful they were to her. Then one day her eyes fell on him, Axel, her meant to be husband... and her soon to be Master. She had to learn how to be a submissive but at the same time be a fearsome and independent woman. To reach her goals and protect what was hers, she had to do things that she never once imagined she'd do. How far would you go to protect your loved ones and your reputation?

(Y/N) moves with her father and his girlfriend into a new house. She doesn't like it at all, just like people don't like her at all. There has happened so much in her life that she came in the darkness. The first day at her new school doesn't go liked she hoped it would. She immediately has to do an internship at one of the farms in her new street. She doesn't like animals at all. Which is weird, right? Who doesn't love animals? Or a very sexy farmer? Is all this enough to pull her out of the dark... ? "Hey, are you okay?" I softly ask her. "DO I LOOK ALRIGHT?!" she said angry to me. Wow, didn't see that coming. She looked constantly at the cows behind me and was focused on their every move. I noticed the circles around her eyes, covered up with lots of make up. I don't want to be rude or something, but she looks quite like a mess, although she was wearing these ordinary clothes. I felt sorry for her. It looks like she didn't sleep quite well. What would have happened to her? I hope it wasn't something too bad... "well ehm, I'm sorry for asking..." I looked at her, not knowing what to say. "Are you coming with me, then can I show you around." I asked her, but she stubbornly answered. "NO WAY I'm going through this!!" And I was right, she is afraid. "They don't do anything to you swe-, oh wait what is your name? I forgot to ask you yesterday." I softly said to her. "I'M (Y/N), and how am I sure you aren't lying to me?!" I seriously have to work on this. I know somewhere deep inside, there is actually a good heart in this girl, I just feel it. But How will I find it?
