This fanfic originates from the much beloved Pokemon series. It takes place as a parallel adventure to Ash's journey in the Indigo League. Though there is no interaction with the Ash arch it does have quite a bit of cross over events to that of Ash's adventures. Loaded with a lot of fan tribute, this story is still meant to stand alone as it own story, dealing with insecurity, doubt, loss, and overcoming. It follows the traditional goal of the Pokemon series to inspire and give hope to the next generation.
So join the journey of Drake Valor a new Pokemon trainer as he learns about perseverance and friendship with some of our favorite classic Pokemon.

Ash has just lost in the Indigo League, due to his Charizard's disobedience. As he and Pikachu are thinking things over by a lake, they are sure in for a nasty surprise. Betrayal. That's what, out of all possible scenarios, Ash never imagined that his own friends and family would betray and even try and kill him. Now though, Ash must rise above this and prove the traitors wrong, starting with redemption. He heads over to the Orange Islands for sanctuary and to start a new journey, a new start was just what he needed, with new friends, new Pokemon, and mysteries surrounding the Pokemon world.
