Prologue
Carla Bryant is an average girl that lives in a small apartment in New York with her aspiring artist of a mother Vivian Bryant. Carla’s life is nothing out of the ordinary she has her routine and doesn’t like change until she meets a dark handsome mysterious boy. There is something abnormal about this boy and Carla can’t seem to understand the pull she has towards him. As Carla learns more about this boy and the world he claims as the DownWorld she realizes things about herself she never knew. The DownWorld is both dangerous and good but which will conquer? Can Carla fight for her love and protect this new city?
