When Ashleigh finds out that Sue has completely stripped McKinley of all arts, Ashleigh convinces the Lima Superintendent to reinstate the Glee Club, but he insists that they need to find someone to lead it. Blaine has also returned to Lima to try and get Ashleigh back, but she severed their engagement, and that's why he flunked out of NYADA. But soon Blaine learns that Ashleigh had been dating someone else... But will Ashleigh really want to be in Glee Club when she finds out who's running it? When several show choirs plan to gather at McKinley for a technically meaningless "invitational" competition, the New Directions begin to worry when they don't have their star singer, especially seeing how they're going against her archenemies Vocal Adrenaline. Can they convince Ashleigh to join the Glee Club, or will it be over before it starts? Kurt and Rachel personally ask Mason to try and convince Ashleigh to rejoin New Directions, seeing how much time they've spent together, and Ashleigh really seems to trust him, but will that jeopardise their friendship? The Glee club is officially over because the New Directions didn't win at Nationals. But the siblings will be back and get the New Directions back up and running again.
