Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations. All while the fates of Goddess squad and the now legendary Captain Nicholas Miller had remained a mystery.

However, while parties and crowds gathered in two of the three major cities in New Canteria, namely Okha and Vladivostok, the third major city, Arnket, was undergoing decontamination due to the radiation caused by a German nuclear strike in early May as it had resulted in a large crater and an engineered radioactive toxic rain cloud. Aside from that though it seemed as if all would go swimmingly for humanity. Until an alien race named the Neuroi appeared. The date is June 9th, 2042. A full month after the surrender of Germania and a week after the Mecklenburg-Vorpommen massacre. As New Canteria was receiving flak from the Organization of Nations, a sudden disturbance was detected by a Canadian satellite as a mysterious black cloud arose from the North Pole. However the Canadian government paid no mind to it. The last mistake they would make as it was them. They struck down on humanity like a thunderbolt in their most vulnerable moments as the North Canadian forces in the area were almost destroyed from the Neuroi attack, driving thousands and eventually millions from their homes in a attempt to escape the Neuroi. However the human race wouldn't go down without a fight. Mobilizing troops freed up from the end of WW3, the ON and a new organization named NORDEN (NHDA) made a successful resistance against the Neuroi and drove them back to the North Pole. However what they found next would have news of it reverberate across the world. A wormhole to a universe still fighting the Neuroi. (Note: I do not own the World Witches series and all media relating to it.)

Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.
