The year is 2019. The Helium and Analog Wars have come and passed, leaving the remains of America at the mercy of Better Living Industries. Lucas and his sister grew up in Battery City, a place completely under the influence of BLI. Fortunately for them, their family was smart enough to realize that the company is evil, and were never brainwashed by their happy pills. However, their parents are still controlling, and all Lucas desires is to run away. So when the two are put in danger and are forced to leave, they do it as if they've done it a thousand times. But of course, nothing is as it seems. "Now if you'll notice, I do try. Get out of the way, I'm back in line. No one will notice if I died... Maybe you'll live for me sometimes, Adeline..." ~~~~~~~~~~ Adeline was only four years old when she was left behind by her parents during the Great Fires of 2012. She would have died if it wasn't for two very kind young men, brothers, noticing the crying, exhausted little girl standing in the middle of the roads surrounded by rubble from burning buildings and deciding to save her life by carrying her away from the fire. These guys would soon grow up to be two out of four of the Fabulous Killjoys, Kobra Kid and Party Poison. Who would Adeline grow up to be? Now, in 2021 at thirteen years old, Adeline lives a sad, boring life alone in a little hut in the desert. The brothers who saved her life hadn't seen Adeline for nine years, since rescuing her, and vice versa. Until one day, they reunite, now with Fun Ghoul and Jet Star on their side. It's never too late to start over. That's what Tords dads, Paul and Patryk think. But not Tord. After the End, Tord was 100% sure that he had gone way past the point of forgiveness. Especially from his friends. But in this fanfic of danger and love Tord will discover that forgiveness can happen to anyone, even him. This story is based off of Eddsworld, and thus, most of the characters here are from Eddsworld. I can't remember which ones are oc's anymore lol [NOTE: the sequel I had planned for this has been cancelled, because its been years, and I'm not in my tomtord phase anymore. Sorry if anyone cared, but I'm barely keeping THIS fic around as is. Really, I'm just leaving this up because 1) it's already finished, I might as well and 2) as something for all the kids who are *currently* in their tomtord phase.
