You know, the ones that have flaming fingers and wield six-foot staffs instead of flimsy wands. Just to make a bad morning even worse, this wizard (who preferred to be called a magos,) managed to find her on a crowded subway car just when she finally found the guts to say "Hi" to the cute guy from her trig class.
Sucked into a world she's never even dreamt of, Alena now has to cope with harsh truths, face old and extremely powerful forces, and leave her old life behind to save a nation she just found out about.
