With the power of contact, Emmie can hurt or heal people with a single touch.

But no power she holds can help her deal with October.

October is trouble. He bends shadows to his will and sends people into insanity. He is total uncontrollable chaos.
Then he meets Emmie.
The two of them live together for years, building up a group to fight back against those who fear them. 
Sooner or later, someone will crack.
And it will not be pretty.
