Artwork by Nychole Owens. I honestly was never good at describing my stories but if you're looking for a story with a chirpy theme, you might as well close this and read something else. This is a story about a teenage Nigerian girl and how her life turned upside down, it's a story of sorrow, grief and hope. So, will her life turn right side up? Will she finally find happiness? Will she finally be able to look in the mirror with pride? Frankly, I don't know, so let's begin our journey, hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I will be updating this story regularly with parts. This story will be told from the perspectives of three different characters as they all try to make sense of this curious phenomenon we have dubbed Life.

Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story.
