Every year, twenty slots are opened in each of the five clans of Amalyia. Any man or woman over the age of 16 is able to compete and be drafted. For they know that without a clan, they are nothing. When one entry sparks controversy, the bonds between the clans are weakened. But something evil is lurking outside the city borders.
