"In the darkness there will always be some light, but in the light there will always be some darkness" ________________________________________ The bloodshed. The horrendous battle. The fight. The War. It haunts him. PTSD makes it worse. He'll never forget what it was like to watch as his best friend dies in his hands. To have bullets fly through the air, whizzing past his head. To have to shoot at multiple people. Killing them to keep his country safe. He's had to deal with this for five years. Even worse, he's had to endure brutal physical and emotional pain all his life. That war just contributed to the amount of suffering. She's has a troubled life as well. Just not in the same sense as he does. It's only her past that haunts her. Though, unfortunately, worse than imaginable. She's lucky to be alive after what she went through. She's doing good now. At least that's what it seems. The flashbacks transport her back to that terrible time. Sometimes, the slightest thing can trigger her. Just as it does him. Two people who lead completely different lives...can be this compatible with each other? Both were runaways. Both were rebels. Both are renegades. + + + + + + I'd like to dedicate this story to @ because we were originally going to collab on this but then she couldn't. Although she did write a good first chapter for this story😁

Have you ever seen your life flash before your eyes? Seen all the good memories with you and your friends and loved ones just pass in a few split seconds before the moment comes where you know you'll die? Where you determine if it's going to be a quick or slow and painful death? Well then, same. I risk my life on a daily bases saving others, strangers, kids, families, anyone my team and I can help ranging from terrorist attacks to bombs to pretty much anything. The training that I received a few years ago allows me to do that, it allows me to be the best person that I can be, if I could go back to the day I joined the military I wouldn't change a single thing; the only thing I would've changed in my journey is to have looked after her better. To have kept her safe. But life had other plans with both of us... ***** All ideas in this book are thought of by me. Nothing has been based of another book.
