When an indifferent Pro Contract Hunter comes across Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Hisoka during the Hunter's Exam, she takes an interest in their potential and skill. After deciding she will fight them, she involves herself in their lives, not taking 'no' for an answer.
She will come to realize she is incidentally connected to all of them in some way letting her get closer to them than she normally does or should.
And when she makes a contract with one of them, she will have to choose to terminate it herself, something she's never done before, to protect a few certain individuals, or fulfilling it, but blocking off her own origins and past. She will have to choose between newly formed love, and family.
