The past 3 years of high school have been hell for Kurt Hummel. This year is different though, because Kurt is starting out the school year on the top of the high school food chain, and he couldn't be happier. Everything is going according to plan, until the universe has different ideas. Blaine has moved so many times that he can't even count anymore. He's never been in a place for more than a year. Blaine comes from a troubled home, with both parents in jail for conflicts with drugs. He is a foster kid, and he has 7 months until he can finally be free to be who he is. When Blaine gets transferred to Lima, he is counting down the days until he can head for the bright lights of New York. He has never been the popular kid in school. The kids always teased him about the way he dressed, the fact that he moved around all the time, and that he was gay. When Kurt and Blaine's paths cross, they find out that they have more in common than you think. They learn the important lesson of loving each other for their differences, and how to help each other to not feel invisible.
