Rosalie Faze is told to marry Renier Larkin to unit their packs. When the time comes Rose doesn't know if she'll be ready. Then when Luka and his brother Parker come to town Rose learns what being a real teenager is like. She must choose between her pack and what she feels in her heart. But in her world keepers are dark casters that watch over the packs in return for their protection of themselves and their sacred magic. The castors refuse to let Rose decide and reveal dark secrets about the beginning of the wolves in the first place, and how keepers came to be. Rose starts to realize that she started some thing more dangerous then choosing what life she wants, and uncovered secrets that were better left forgotten.
