"I'll keep quiet, you won't even know I'm here...you'll never know what hit you...I'm underneath your skin..." That's how Irene felt, every since her weapon merged with her, the perks ranged from the ability to control and summon gravity, enhanced reflexes and senses, all one hell of an excellent deal, the ideal package that created badasses. The drawback, was that she was no longer human, the price for such unlimited potential: a lust for blood. She controled it well, as best she could, but the question remains for how long...especially when things take a strained turn where she risks it all to protect that one special person that she'd die for. Even if it means ending herself; she do it, all in the name of loyalty. For the game they played, where assassins sought the target within their ranks, no one could be trusted and no one was safe...that's what she tells them, even saying that she too couldn't be trusted...she just didn't say why...yet...

The times of pain for Galen Hooks seem to be over now. However, before she had been rescued, a mysterious chip had been implanted into the right side of her chest and activated. She doesn't yet know what it does, but she needs to tell Rhea, Isabel and Camila something. All she does is tell them... it could change her into something she'd never be in real life. But soon, it all seems true. All of a sudden, the chip transforms her into a live Diamond Eye, one that she'd never really been meant to be. Playing it in a movie was amazing, but actually being one was on a whole different level. And this one is nothing like the clever, manipulative seductress in the movie. She's a real monster that turns on her friends and tries to destroy them instantly. At first, they can keep her back, but they're eventually forced to trap her in Rhea's bedroom. Soon, though, the monster version of Galen escapes her bonds and somehow manages to start mind-controlling Isabel. She lures her out to a remote part of the city, into a large arena. However, Isabel soon finds out that a terrorist woman who hadn't been killed before was still alive, for she has a chip inside her controlling Galen and Isabel. She makes them fight to the death and makes it so that Galen is forced to kill her friend. She later even gives them a bow and arrow to heat things up. But then she underestimates Isabel's speed and cleverness and, begging for forgiveness in her mind, Isabel shoots Galen in the chest with the arrow she has, which ultimately destroys both chips, kills the woman by throwing her from the wall and leaves Galen's life hanging by a thread as she lays bleeding on the ground. She finds the phone that was taken from her and calls Camila, Rhea, and the returned Skyla to explain everything. As soon as they get there, one of them hurriedly searches for what they know in the control room may fix everything... and keep Galen from being killed.

"Let me take a look at the bullet wound." "No tesoro. I can do this myself," Vittore grumbled and I gave him incredulous look. "Don't start that bullshit with me Vittore. Remove your arm and let me help you or..." I trailed off, not able to say more. I was still in shock but I could do this. "Just... just let me help." "No." I glared at Vittore. "Why are you being so damn egotistic?! Let me help you! Do you know what it was like to find you like... and to..." I couldn't even get all the words out. "Let me help you. Please." Begging wasn't something I'd ever do but I just needed him to let me help him. "No-" "Why?!" I suddenly exploded. "Why won't you just let me help you?!" "Because I don't know how to handle it ok?!" Vittore suddenly exploded, his dark eyes glaring at me. "I don't know how to handle these... feelings. Fuck tesoro you drive me crazy! Don't you see that? You make me question everything I've ever known and... I can't..." I watched Vittore as his expression turned determined. "Fuck it." He leaned forward and pressed his lips on mine. * * * WARNING! ~How deep can the darkness take you... before you lose your soul?~ "Tell me," she said, because the emptiness inside was yawning, stretching, consuming and she suddenly needed something, someone, needed to feel anything other than empty. She hated being empty. And she didn't want him to be empty either. She remembered that. It was like a film had been lifted from her eyes and as she looked down at him, she understood something. With other people, she didn't have to be human. Even with Thorn, he simply knew her. Andreas made her feel human. She didn't know how to be human, didn't know what it involved or what she should do. Humans were fragile, humans could be broken, and Sin was already broken enough. But she wasn't as broken as him. And maybe it was that fact that had her reaching for him, turning so she was laying on the bed beside him, stretching so she could wrap her arms around him and hold him close to her. Maybe it was that knowledge that made her want to protect him from the world. Because she'd thought the gods cruel only to her. She'd been wrong. So she closed her eyes and breathed him in, then breathed out, releasing everything inside her until she was simply... Sin. And she whispered into his hair, softly, five more impossible words. "I can hear you screaming." Dropped into an unknown, dangerous world and thrown together by chance, two people are now in a race for survival. One, a dark sorcerer with a haunted past and a deadly reputation, and the other, a cursed assassin with a chaotic soul. Both are powerful, domineering, and arrogant. Neither are team players. And yet, they'll have to work together if they want to get out alive... that is, if they manage not to kill each other first. (A collaboration/co-write by @Michillie and @Literacy101)

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust
