In Makala Silvers life all she has known is the wall surrounding her home, her school and her way of life. However she also knows of the people living the other side of the wall. While even the poor inside the wall prosper those outside live in squalor and depravity. When she meets the young man with strange white hair who leads a group called Aipotu does she realise the extent of the shackles on her society.
Along with inside resistance groups and the aid from outside they aim to create a balance. They aim to destroy the wall. It is the story of a young woman finding herself and the power she has as an individual. We see her develop with the help of friends inside and outside of the wall that has dominated her life for so long.
They will have to contend with family dysfunction and the deadly governmental regimes if they hope to survive. Can they be sure love friendship and loyalty be enough against the twisted values of mortality and protection. . Once a traitor is found they will be eliminated.
