Kayla Benton looked like your typical 14 year old girl. She was faced with moving from her nerdy best friend, Ben, and had to start at a random out of state school. Unless you really knew her, you wouldn't know she was a major tomboy. All she did was talk to guys, dress like a guy, and get down and dirty with the guys. But when all the details pour out, the whole school turns against her. Rumors are spread, fights were made, and days passed quicker. Will they ever accept her for the tomboy that she is?

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
