I turned around just as he lowered himself on the log next to me.
"What sort of deal?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Meet me here everyday at sunset and we can get to know each other better. Deal?" He looked at me with a glint of hope in his blue eyes.
"Deal."

The Forest
Ernwood Forest is home to people living hidden from the prying eyes of humans; the Winged and their tribes. These people stand no taller than a few centimetres off the ground, meaning that things can sometimes get a little difficult... especially when humans are involved. But life isn't all bad. For the first time ever, Azure and the tribes have a human of their own protecting them from the sinister forces beyond the edge of the trees. As the months of winter roll in, nights are growing longer and snow has settled on the leafless branches. The forest is still. The only humans anyone expects to see are the few that know of the tiny people's existence. But the tribes are not alone in the forest anymore. The abductions begin. The past awakens.
