This story goes out to my dear friend Veronica(the main character). The story is named aftermath because it takes place after a story I did a long time ago. The original story is intended for a video game so I can only divulge so much information so it doesn't spoil anything.
Many secret wars have been happening all over the world but none as fatal and unorthodox as the civil world war. A war in which two governments rose to power, the Order and the System. These two governments had different views on nearly everything but they both worked for the well being of the people. The Order(the good guys)focused on more of a surveillance based justice system with more freedom and focuses on fairness and equality. The system(the bad guys) used more terroristic methods to install fear into the people and make everyone follow the rules that were set in place. The system was most infamous by anyone with knowledge on politics because of their sadistic torture, hiring of mercenaries, and illegal activity. After the rise of super powers, aliens, and whatever could be deemed as supernatural or extraterrestrial, it seemed like the system was quick to form an army of it and disband the so called "menace". What took many years of war for a group of marines to accomplish, a group of kids with the lust for money and for some, vengeance, only a few years to achieve even more. This story talks about one of the many mercenaries whom by the system's censorship, propaganda, and threats, joined the wrong side. This story will focus on the new world that has been put in front of her, one where it'll take more than a loaded gun and bullets to survive. Whether it means killing men with knives for fingers, or fighting godlike powerhouses, she will make a new life for her and her sisters, and the first step meant begging for a place in the army of the men she had wronged.

In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. I wrote this story a while back and only recently decided it re publish it. Only to have the head of the French mafia realize that he was given stripper a few nights ago when Ravenna was undercover, they now have to pretend nothing happened and ignore their undeniable attraction as well as 6 years of burning hatred in order to defeat a bigger problem.Complete

Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. Meet Adrianna Robertson the bad girl is what people call her, when she was younger her mom left her the day she was born with her controlling father. Adrianna parties and gets drunk and smokes all the time. One day she just can't stand staying with her dad for any longer and goes to her neighbor Daniel's house till her friend picks her up. She went back completely wasted and needed a place to stay for the night since her dad was on her ass about getting drunk so she stays with him. I hope you like the book, there is going to a mild amount of swearing and lots of drinking and smoking. Everything is made up beside the state they live in. I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me.
