Maddie Foster, the abused seventeen-year-old girl just wants to escape it all: the bullying at school, Mr. Mills from across the street, and more importantly her mom's love for a bottle of cheap wine every night at 9:00 PM. After Maddie meets Cathy Vega, the rebellious teen from Canada, they both make plans to run away together.

When they do their life begins to spiral out of control. The two girls find themselves getting into drugs, alcohol, and the dangerous world of prostitution. One night at a party things take a turn for the worse, and Maddie's life is handed in the care of the Johnson family.
