"My voice shook when I said hello And from that word, we couldn't take it slow I still can't believe The way you looked at me" Nat spends most of his days watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Jalen is the lead guitarist in a band growing quickly in popularity. Jalen's band plays at a cafe one day, and he meets Nat. They hit it off instantly. Most of their summer is spent together; they can't get enough of each other. They're constantly flirting, but neither of them have the courage to ask the other out.

Seventeen-year-old Willow Brass has always hated concerts. No, not all concerts, just the ones with Ashton Hanes. At age ten, she fell in love with the lead singer of When In Doubt, a band of misfits from Colorado. Even the sound of his voice sets her off, but she knows Ashton will never be hers. Still, that doesn't stop Jaelyn Eakins, her sort-of-friend, from getting them tickets to his concert in Colorado. Twenty-four-year-old Ashton Hanes loves all music with a passion. But his fiancé, Jade Savah, has a path for the couple all her own. Yet Ashton finds himself rebelling from Jade, falling for a completely different type of girl entirely. Willow and Ashton do not get along at all. For Willow, her temper is just her trying to convince herself she has no desires. For Ashton, his temper is his way of telling himself he won't ever fall for a girl who thinks the same as he does. No matter how different she is.
