This is a poem that I wrote about the sinking of the Korean ferry MV Sewol. I meant to post this on April 16th, which was the two year anniversary of the ferry sinking, but I didn't get the chance too. But, I felt like I should still share it anyway because I very proud of this poem, and this is my way of finding some closure after the event. Because although I don't live in Korea, and I'm not physically connected to anyone who was on that ferry, I am very emotionally connected, because my heart always goes out to absolutely everyone affected by any disaster, so this is my way of expressing grief. Whenever I'm upset, I express myself through my writing. Thank you for reading <3

One Thousand Tears
I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free. My Poetry Escape
I may just be a girl. No one special. Nothing compared to others. In the eyes of the universe, I am just a little speck of dust. My light may not shine very bright, and it may not be of any use, but I am me. Writing is my only escape out of this world. I cry rivers of ink and climb mountains of words. third poem collection. they aren't in any particular order or anything like that, and after 100, there will always be a new one. if you've been here a while, I'm sure you know the drill. now, about the cover. it was a random Thursday, and an old friend and I went to Cottonwood Island Park in PG. this bridge is covered in graffiti and writing, and it has been painted over to cover it up, or boards have been replaced to get rid of it. yet, there's always writing on this bridge. it felt like no matter what, nobody can silence the voices that need to be heard. and I felt that. anyways, please enjoy this chaotic collection of poetry.
