Veronica is just a normal girl. She went to the same school all her life, proud of her french language, and has amazing friends. She is considered one of the smartest kids in her class and gets good grades. But when the school board decides to split up the English and French high school in her little town of Mullingar,Westmeath,Ireland, everything goes downhill. Her parents are making her change school to the English part of the school since they always wanted her to go to that school. But does she really want too? Not really. She barely knows anyone at the new school. She doesn't want to lose her language or friends. And she has no choice.

When Veronica doesn't know what to do, and has no choice, she gives it a try. Even if it all goes wrong and downhill, at the end it is worth it since she falls in love with a guy, named Niall Horan.
