The War of the Elements

"Nuclear bombs have hit Los Angelas, New York, and Seattle with more said to be on the way."
It was broadcast on all of the major networks that day, the day the world died. Nearly two thirds of the worlds population, gone. Most of those who survived were turned into ghastly beings by the radiation. Those who weren't turned were the unlucky ones, destined to live in a world with no one but their thoughts, and a handful of other survivors. They try to live their lives, building walls to block out the reality of the outside world.
But when the settlements start to fall to the Ghouls, the whole world is thrown into a war. Three survivors are thrust into a fight where even the elements are at war.
