Lilac Grayson, or Gray to her only two friends, has a secret, one she will never release. She coops herself in her room listening to music as her only distraction from her miserable life. Her friends know her secret, she becomes slightly more open about it but doesn't tell anyone. She is living through a war, one that determines the outcome of her life, simply life or death. She has come to face reality with the fact she will always be nothing more than a nerd.
