My names Toril Brookes and the year is 3010. I grew up in Aequalis a beautiful Utopian city, but the name is quite ironic considering that no one there is equal. The government rules everything, the citizens have no say; even though they think they do. It may look peaceful, but don't let looks deceive you. The System is ruthless to those who are different and step out of line. Stories are told about what happens to the Uniques, people say they end up on the Outside. We've always been told that the desert is a dangerous place; only for the damned, the condemned and that no one survives. I never knew what was out there, what was REALLY out there, until the day I was banished. Author's Note: Needs Editing

The Exit

In the scorching desert, a young boy slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was met with a sea of unfamiliar faces - teenagers, all around his age, scattered across the endless dunes. The blistering sun beat down on them, relentless in its ferocity. As the boy struggled to sit up, he noticed the mix of fear, desperation, and determination etched on the faces around him. Some were huddled in small groups, whispering among themselves, while others wandered aimlessly, searching for something - anything - that could help them survive. The boy's memories were hazy, but one thing was certain: they were trapped. There was no sign of civilization in sight, just an endless expanse of sand and rock. No buildings, no roads, no rescue in sight. Panic began to set in as the boy scrambled to his feet, joining the throngs of teenagers searching for answers. How did they get here? Why were they trapped? And, most pressing of all, how would they survive in this desolate wasteland? As the boy joined the desperate search for survival, he realized that he was not alone in his quest for answers. Together, they would have to rely on each other, trust each other, and fight to stay alive in a harsh environment that seemed determined to kill them.
