After a dreadful election, James Johnson becomes the next president in the late 1900's and corrupts the entire country of the United States of America. With his inimical orders, America deteriorates and enters a brand new dark age of humankind. James's humanity comes into question when he ratifies an order-later turned into the Homosexual Act. An act to terminate all homosexuals from the country.

Living in an intricate society where homosexuals aren't allowed, Ryan Rada struggles with his identity and fear of being discovered-being homosexual. Ryan's hatred towards James Johnson accumulates, but when his family is in jeopardy-Ryan's vulnerability might be enough to push him off the edge.

Daniel is a shy and nerdy sixteen year old, growing up in a quiet town as part of a conservative Catholic family. With his father being the town's pastor, organizing protests against the equality of LGBTQ+ people, Daniel has to be careful about who to trust with his secret; he is gay. Things change a lot when Matt, his former best friend from elementary school, loses a bet with his friends and is tasked with finding out Daniel's sexual orientation to use that knowledge as blackmail. But when Matt discovers his own feelings for his friend things get complicated. As both are trying to navigate through the last years of school into adulthood, the soon find themselves in a crumbling web of lies.
