Annabeth was dead.

A sudden visit from their monstrous enemies was NOT on Percy's list of Spending-time-with-Annabeth. Especially when it involved Annabeth dying in front of him. That was not funny, Fates!

Because of the old hags' twisted sense of humor, Percy went rogue, choosing the harder path of being a demigod. He left Camp Half-Blood, slaying monsters who managed to tick him off, sending them back to Tartarus.

That is, until he found himself in the Underworld, the river Lethe churning behind him.. and a horde of monsters ready to make a demigod stew out of him.

He couldn't iris message Frank to annoy him, since his job as Praetor kept him busy, and he tried to spend whatever free time he had with Hazel. speaking of Hazel, Leo couldn't speak with her either since she was either helping Frank with Praeter stuff, hanging out with Frank or kissing Frank. So with all the feelings of neglect, Leo slips back into his old habits and runs...runs away from everyone.
