Theo and Carissa have known each other all their lives but it didn't really mean anything. Their mothers were good friends but, they weren't. They never had an actual conversation with one another, just smiling at each other and occasionally saying hi. As they enter their final year of high school,Theo starts gaining feelings for Carissa and vice versa. They admitted their mutual feelings to each other but things still remained the same, they still didn't talk to each other. Months after their confession,Theo started falling for someone else but Carissa still felt the same. Shortly after graduation,Carissa was diagnosed with stage two leukemia and her dying wish was to have one last conversation with Theo about the truth if he still felt the same or not.
