Percy Jackson was just getting ready to head to New Rome. He was spending his last few days before college in New York with his mother. Annabeth had gotten a head start and left for her classes early, but things couldn't have been better.

He had helped defeat Kronos.

He had helped defeat Gaia.

There could be no bigger threat.

All was well.

Until he walks home one day and finds the house ransacked.

Not to mention his mother and Paul are missing.

At the scene of the crime is a person he doesn't recognise. A girl who had strange markings, much like tattoos, and was dressed in all black. She also happened to be armed.

Percy is unsure what to make of the situation. All he knows is that he won't be attending his classes in New Rome any time soon.

And to find out what's happening and get his parents back, he needs to decide whether this girl in his house is a friend or foe...
