*to be edited: please excuse any continuity errors and / or mistakes in regards the writing quality of Hades* Ellie is just like every other normal eighteen year old girl in the world, except for one big reason. She's the daughter of Hades. And an immortal goddess in charge of managing suicide in the world. And she's been locked in the darkness of the Underworld for her entire life. So basically, her life couldn't get any more abnormal if she tried. Ellie longs to experience life like everybody else her age, but for as long as she can remember her parents haven't let her travel up to the surface, and she's been forced to imagine the upper world through the stories her mother told and the books she read. Until, one day, her parents finally give in and let her go up to the surface to see the world through her own eyes, and her world explodes with colour. Then, just when she thinks her life couldn't get more exciting, she stumbles across a very particular green-eyed god; one who throws her perfectly organised world into complete chaos and shows her what it means to live in the light. But what Ellie doesn't know, is that the Fates have a prophecy for her. A prophecy that she couldn't escape if she tried. A prophecy that has tangled it's gnarled fingers into the threads of her life, and may just throw the world into the darkness Ellie has spent her whole life trying to escape. "He's the son of Aphrodite, she's the daughter of Hades. He's light, she's the oncoming darkness. He advocates for love, she's the embodiment of death. What could possibly go wrong?" Once upon a time, Xadia was a unified land, filled with wonder and magic. At the dawn of time, there were six primary sources of magic, the sun, moon, stars, earth, sky and ocean. But a thousand years ago, a magician from a human tribe discovered a new power, the seventh source, black magic. It uses the essence of all magical creatures to awaken the forces of evil. Terrified by this sight, dragons and elves decided to put an end to the madness. Human mages, however, did not want to give up, and stood up to fight against the elves and dragons. The human mages using unimaginable black magic began to win. But then on the side of the elves and dragons stood the Flenimu, born from the union of human and elf. With their help, they managed to drive the humans westward. Then the continent was divided into two parts, Xadia or the eastern magical land and the western kingdoms of humans. For centuries the border was guarded by the dragon king himself. the people called him Thunder, because his voice made the earth and sky tremble. But before the day of the last coming of winter, people exterminated Grom, and then without a shadow of mercy destroyed his only egg, his successor, the dragon prince. The world then stood on the brink of an all-out war. English is not my language so I apologize for any mistakes :) I own the copyright only to what I have come up with myself. I am writing this after the premiere of season 3 but before the premiere of season 4.

Cover by: @Caitlyn-Blayne "After the great war, King Archeron, who was not yet a king, was the obvious choice to be the monarch of Avenlea. He possessed all the qualities a king should have-courage, intelligence, boldness, strength, and empathy-but most of all, the gods had given him a quality of his own, something he could pass on to his children. They gave him fire. Fire that could bring down nations." Jasmine has been told stories of Avenlea since she was a child, but it isn't until she meets a handsome stranger who claims to be Avenlean that she starts considering that the myths could be true.
