This story isn't about the epidemic that killed/sterilised almost half of humanity. This isn't about the struggle to eradicate the disease, nor the struggle to find a way to continue the human race. No, this is about the next generation, the one created artificially in government labs below the city. This is about Kya. DISCONTINUED! I have decided that this story is simply not good enough to continue. However, I am writing a new story based on that summary, except the last sentence. Kya has lived her whole life in black and white. No one can see color until they touch their soulmate. The government looks down on touching others unnecessarily. They're afraid. Afraid of love. Kya has waited for years. She's waited for the color that will come, will explode her senses. The color that will change her life forever. Once you touch your soulmate, you're set for life. You know your path. Kya's life has been unsteady for as long as she can remember. She's desperate for something permanent and unshakeable. But not everything works out perfectly. There's always a glitch in the system.
