Kenta Yoroshima is an average, video game loving, high school student who lives in Tokyo, Japan. While on his way to school with his friend Yin Yamato one day, he gets a call from his father telling him to meet him at his office at VirtualWORKS.Inc(a company that focuses on virtual reality video games). When he and Yin arrive, they find a portal in the companies laboratory. Kenta's father explains that the portal was originally used to "dive into the virtual world", however a something has caused the portal's distortion to spread slowly throughout the real world. Now Kenta and Yin must dive into the virtual world and find the sourse of the distortion and stop it from destroying both worlds.
