She was quick and quiet, doing her duty with precision and obedience. Her job as a Runner was simple. Run messages. When she gets a message a warring country, she runs with few breaks. Sometimes she gets a horse, sometimes not. She must know how to act and how the royal courts work. Her job now, not as a Runner, but a spy. No one could read her, calculate her movements and understand her. No one, but him.

He was dark and mysterious, doing whatever he wanted in the position he had been granted. As leader of a major country, his job is to get into the minds of his associates and play them to his will. However cruel he may be, he is also fair in his justice. He does NOT tolerate traitors.

How long will the little Runner survive in the prestige and highly-corrupt politics of the royal court of Ashenyne as a small town girl of Lairyne?
