Deep within the darkest forest lies a creature unlike any other. This creature's name is Naomi Abungu. Her name has great meaning. Naomi is a Hebrew name, meaning "beautiful". Abungu is an African name, meaning "of the forest". She is the guardian of the forest. In this book you will read about some gullible children losing a necklace to the forest. The girls are prepared to go in and get it; but just as they go to step in, their babysitter, Athens, stops them.

It started one Friday evening. All of the goats were standing still, staring intently into the woods. They didn't move, they didn't make a sound. When a derelict truck is found in the driveway, Scott and his friend Gina search the wood lot out back to try and figure out who's truck it is and what they were doing.
