A Way Back Home - ( A Shizaya Fanfic)
"Hey Shizu-chan? Can I ask you a question? It's a little personal."
Izaya never thought he would find himself in such a situation- talking with Shizuo under the artificial light of cheap stars. On his bed no less. Although he shouldn't have been so surprised, it was happening an awful lot lately.
"What is your biggest fear?" He asked without expecting a response, but after a few seconds of pondering he got an answer that was no louder than a whisper.
"My biggest fear would have to be..."
The ravenette took it upon himself to guess it, but all attempts were fruitless. For all the years Izaya had known the man, he never showed a sliver of fright towards any obstacle. In fact, he himself couldn't understand why he had never
been afraid of the other.
But lately there had been an inkling of emotion, perhaps a little unpleasant whenever Shizuo walked in the room. It was something that could resemble fear, he realized, but the word left Shizuo's lips before Izaya could dare to think it.
"Love."

Izaya had been gone from Ikebukuro for three years, and upon his arrival he was reunited with a particular blonde individual that he was all to familiar with. It's funny though, how along the way the words 'Stay out of Ikebukuro' morphed into something else, something gentler than he could ever imagine.
Perhaps the word 'Home' wouldn't remain so foreign on his tongue.
