Willow, second-born in Cinder and Flames litter, has been chosen by her parents to look after her siblings, even though of course, they were born in the same litter. Some choices by Cinder and Flame leave Willow, Grey and Russet living alone.
Willow then has strange dreams of a calico she-cat, apparently the medicine cat when her father joined Thunderclan. She finds her name is Spottedleaf, and tells her about herbs and healing.
