"Is Cody there?" I asked
"He ain't allowed to see nobody right now, he's in trouble," He muttered.
"I know," I mumbled, my voice was getting shaky and I was scared I'd get screamed at by the beer bellied redneck.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm Kyte O'Malley, the kid he got into a fight with?" I was hoping it'd ring a bell and not trigger him to pull out a shotgun for harming his precious son, "Anyway, I kinda came here to apologize,"
"Alrighty then, come on in," he opened up the door letting the smell of old carpet and cigarette smoke. Showing me to Perry's room, he kept a firm grip on my shoulder as he led me down the hall. He opened up the door to Cody's room unannounced, where he was blaring music and sitting in bed. "You've got a visitor," he told him, pushing me into the room and slamming the door behind.
Set in middle America during the early 2000s, Kyte O'Malley attends one of the biggest high schools in his state. Housing over 3000 students, his school is home to dozens of cliques that all seem to be side-eyeing each other. What happens when a low-life scrub and a popular cowboy get into a fist fight for the whole school to see?
