It's the same way it has been for 74 years. 1 boy and 1 girl from each of the 12 districts are chosen to go into the games and fight until only one is left standing.
When Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her sisters place for the games, she is faced with the highly most likely chance of death, and only a tiny spark of hope.
For the games, there is only one rule;
Kill,or be killed.....

This is also my first story so don't judge 'cuz haters gonna hate. And bakers gonna bake
Hopefully I will do another story of this but in Peeta's P.O.V and hopefully one for Harry Potter.

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. Please do not attempt to recreate it in any form. Additionally, if ideas in this work are similar to that of other writings, it is purely coincidental and I apologize deeply for any inconvenience.
