Saving the beast

"I may be weak and little and that does not stop me from trying to protect my friends and family down at the village below. So I say again punish me and instead of all of them."
The king of Eternity studied her, thinking to himself for s few moments, but then finally spoke again, "How do I know the words you speak are true, and how do I know you won't try to kill me if you were to stay here to take the punishment?" He spoke his words carefully as he stared back into Lilly's green eyes.
Lilly took no hesitation to speak again, "You my king are the light that can put the heavens to shame, the darkness thy which no one can see. You are the sins, Pride, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Greed, Sloth, and Gluttony, all wrapped up into one being. However you are also the love, the joy, and the warmth of the world. So do tell me my king how could a little, weak girl betray you better yet kill you?" She said as she began to walk towards him slowly, "so I say once again, make me your servant and I will be with you until the end of my time. I will be your sword that you can bend, break, sharpen, dulled, and protect you until the earth underneath my feet cracks."

With the town in danger, a girl name Lilly sets off to face the King of eternity. What happens when she trades herself for the town? And what happens when she figures out what's really behind the Kings mask?
