An epic war that started it all. 
The warlocks and fae have had their differences but it was enough to cause bloodshed. Every paranormal race has been called to choose a side, everyone did, except the merfolk. When the warlocks won they punished the merfolk for not aiding in the battle. 

A curse. For ten years Atlantis will fade, leaving them hopeless; no one can aid. Summer solstice will come, and for a full cycle [one year] it will reappear. But when the year is over it will leaving Atlantis to disappear once again.  

An heir. 
Not everyone was punished in Atlantis. A prince and his guardian escaped, but how long will they live?

A school.
The prince must attend, to regain his homeland. But will something stop him? Or more importantly someone?
