"You want me to marry him!" I screamed, not caring about how un-ladylike I was acting.

My parents sat there frozen as if not expecting my outburst of defiance. My mother tried to reason with me, "Phonix, you need to marry him for your kingdom. You are of age. In fact, you are nineteen!"

"Never!" I declared, slamming the palms of my hands down on the banquet table before storming out of the room.
