Riley loves Lucas, as does he her. But Maya loves Lucas just as much, even though she denies it. She never plans on telling Riley, glad to see that she is finally happy.

But will she choose her own happiness over her best friends?

~~~
"Are we seriously gonna do this?" I asked, breathless.
"Why not?" He replied, grinning.
"What about her? You said you loved her Lucas."
I was confused, but had wanted this to happen for so many years now. I couldn't think straight and couldn't control myself.
I grabbed his shirt, pulling him towards me and smashed my lips onto his, not giving him time to reply. When our lips parted he managed them out.
"I did love her."
~~~

OMG!! Tons of credit to Baby Minki aka Gracias & Maya for the help in the book idea and just... everything! I love her, she is amazing guys xx

Girl Meets the Mind of a Genius от EchoingEllipses

Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a genius? Farkle Minkus is a full functioning genius. He has everything he's ever wanted from best friends to outstanding grades to an equally intellectual girlfriend. But his latest experiment has been four years in the making: understanding feelings. This story focuses on the Girl Meets World characters and its clearly superior ship, Riarkle. Most GMW stories rotate between characters, but this one will be completely from the perspective of Farkle. The story takes place during their senior year of high school. Yes, I use scenes and situations from the show, but they're meant to establish the plot. Just don't think about it. :) Now let's understand the mind (and feelings) of a genius. I don't own the characters and some dialogue. - Previews: I stare down, "How did you get used to it?" "Used to what?" Maya walks over to me. "Seeing Lucas cuddling up with her and holding her hand. How did you get over that it wasn't you?" Maya sighs, "It came with time I guess. I don't think I ever really loved Lucas though. That's not the same for you. You love Riley." I turn to face her, "How could I not?" - Riley sighs, "Things were so much more simple back then. We didn't look at each other like boys and girls. We were all just friends." "But I still loved you, even though I didn't know what love meant." I can't believe I just said that. Riley turns and looks right into my eyes. I can't read her. Usually I can. "Do you now?" "I don't know." - "But you slept with Riley?" Lucas asks loudly. The entire room goes silent and looks at us. I'm going to pass out. "No!" I hold my hands up, "Well, actually I guess but, no, wait, not the way you think. I just stayed the night." Awful save. "You're trying to make a move on my girlfriend." Lucas points at me threateningly. I back away, "No, I-"

Maya held back her feelings for years. She watched Riley date Lucas, then Charlie, then a series of other boyfriends. She kept quiet because she knew she stood no chance, she wasn't a boy after all. The day Riley introduced her to her new girlfriend, something in Maya snapped. She found herself on a downward spiral of anger and self loathing. Can anyone save her? Is it too late for Riley to put her friend back together again? Originally posted on AO3: http://archiveofourown.org/works/8324593
