"How stupid do you think I am?" I ask Blade disgusted.

"I don't think your stupid at all, in fact you're one of the smartest people I've ever met."

Wow. And I mean wow, if he honestly thinks flattery will work on me now, no wonder he thought he could get away with it.

"Since I'm so smart, you do know that I know you slept with my sister, right?" He immediately pales.
"And that I also know that she is pregnant with your pup?" He starts to sweat.

"Sweetie this is a misunderstanding..."

"What ever pathetic excuse your about to say, save it for your new mate."

"You are my only mate, Cassie, and don't you ever say otherwise."

"Well I guess that leaves you mate-less because I, Cassetta Miller, Reject You, Alpha Blade, As My Mate."

Scars of Alera

51 parts Complete

When a murder shakes her tiny village, Alera will discover a horrifying link between the scars on her arms and the werewolves and vampires that stalk her home. ***** Nineteen-year-old Alera has grown up in the village of Adaymos, listening to stories about the monsters that live in the forest that surround her home. Labelled an outcast because of the scars on her arm, she's an easy scapegoat after one of the villagers is found murdered, but when newcomer Will is framed instead she's forced to question everything she knows about the mysterious outsider. Could he really be the killer? Or is he hiding more about the werewolves and vampires that live in the forest -- and the truth behind Alera's scars -- than he lets on?
